  1. Demonstrate an understanding of anatomic pathology
  2. Describe the role of pathologist assistants in an anatomic pathology laboratory
  3. Gain familiarity with process of gross examination of tissue and selection of tissue for microscopic examination
  4. Improve knowledge of basic histology of breast tissue
  5. Explain differences in basic neoplastic and non-neoplastic breast histology, to include:
    1. Fibrocystic changes
    2. Fibroepithelial neoplasms
    3. Lobular neoplasia
    4. Invasive and in-situ carcinomas
